Our annual Winter in July is held for those children who are ill and who can’t afford summer camps or gifts. We invite the entire family to all of our Adventures, not just the afflicted child. In many cases, siblings get neglected as focus is always placed on the sick child. In cooperation with the Florida Panthers, the children ice skate at the Panther Den, the ice rink where the Panthers practice. The Junior Panthers come and help teach the children how to skate. The Panther Cheerleaders help by pulling the sled and engaging the kids in snowball fights. The families are treated to a catered lunch, including hot chocolate and dessert. Santa arrives with a toy for everyone and brings his elves to help, too. The Panther’s mascot, Stanley C. Panther, is a big hit with the kids. The day concludes with Santa handing out toys and other goodies to each family. This is one of the Prestige Club’s most popular Adventures…the parents have just as much fun as the kids!
